Miss Kira Maiden
Parent Governor
In my role of parent governor, I am motivated to ensure the children at Wrockwardine wood receive the best education possible. Being a mother really puts into perspective how important education is, my oldest is currently in year 1 at Wrockwardine wood and my youngest has just turned one. Being a parent is a very busy job, but it also gives me valuable experience which I can use through my role as a governor.
I graduated from university in 2022 with a bachelor’s with Honours degree in sociology and family studies, this milestone has created options for me in the future. Over the next few years, I will be completing my PGCE with QTS to become a primary school teacher once my youngest is in nursery. I am currently a qualified TA with an extra qualification in children’s mental health.
Having a wide range of experience and skills through different educational settings gives me the confidence to do well in my governors roll. I aim to support the ongoing development of the federation and continue to gain more knowledge through my governor role.
I feel that my educational background, my knowledge as a mother and my continued motivation for success will benefit me in this role ensuring that the federation is supported.
